We are pround to announce the we have recently been accredited with the CHAS Scheme. The Contractor Health and safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) provides information about health and safety part of a contractors application. Companies apply to join the scheme so any recruiting public and private organisations know they meet acceptable standards of health and safety compliance.

CSCS PLATINUM Award

White Rock Construction are proud to demonstrate its commitment to the training and safety of its staff and have recently gained Platinum Standard in the Commitment to CSCS This award acts as evidence that more than 90% of our workforce are registered under the CSCS Scheme Health and safety education is an ongoing feature of White Rock Construction staff training programme whilst working on both residential and commercial (or public sector). Particular attention is paid to regulations concerning working at height, manual handling and the safe use of pesticides, all of which feature strongly in the company’s specialist property refurbishment services.

CSCS was set up to help the construction industry to improve quality and reduce accidents.  CSCS cards are increasingly in demand as proof of occupational competence and health and safety knowledge by contractors, public, private clients and others.

  CSCS award organisations a Gold Award when 75% of their staff have received CSCS cards. However, White Rock has surpassed this mark to be awarded with a Platinum Award. To obtain the Platinum Award over 90% of our operational staff now hold a CSCS card. This award emphasises our ongoing commitment to providing the best possible service to our customers by ensuring that our employees are trained to the highest industry standards. This is a fantastic award for us to obtain and we are very proud of our achievement.

Waste Carriers Licence

As part of our responsibility under our 'duty of care' regulations – White Rock is registered with the Environment Agency as a licensed carrier of waste. All carriers of waste must be registered to move waste, it is essential that producers of waste understand their responsibilities under the Environmental Protection Act.

Construction skills

We understand that apprenticeships are the lifeblood of our industry, and we work to encourage more young people to join our industry. We believe that developing the skills of workers in the construction industry is crucial to the health of the UK economy Our key responsibilities as an employer are to: Allow time for learning so the apprentice can attend off the job training Provide opportunities for craft-related work experience to develop their skills Meet minimum recommended pay rates for all apprentices
